Artisan Josh and his Tiny Home
Every detail of this tiny house built by Artisan Josh is creative, useful, and a work of art.
Josh, a Certified Master Tradesman, Contractor, Artisan, and Muralist, used his 21 years of design, construction, and fabrication experience to build his 12′ self-sustaining tiny home. It is his full-time home and workplace.
In one end of the house, there is a kitchen complete with counter space and a small refrigerator, as well as a workspace for Josh’s computer. The television is overhead.
The other end is the living space with cozy seating that easily becomes a bed. Look closely for all the little artistic and storage details, like the umbrella slot and the broom by the door.
Josh has literally made use of every inch of space, including the vertical space. This little cabinet stores his batteries.
Even the ceiling becomes useful. The storage net holds lots of clothes and other items, and you may have noticed hooks on the ceiling. When he doesn’t want to make up the bed, Josh often sleeps in a hammock which he hangs from those hooks.
To the left of the kitchen is a small bathroom with a composting toilet, and underneath the sink there is a surprise.
This 12′ tiny house has everything, including a washer and dryer!
There is no shower in the bathroom, but this outdoor shower tent works just fine. You can get one here.
Josh is such a fun person and I’m really glad I got to meet him and see his very awesome home. If you would like to contact him his website is artisanjosh.com
